Key Responsibilities:

Perform circulation and other clerical functions as needed; including but not limited to:

Issuing and renewing library memberships

Circulating library materials
-
Shelving and shelf reading
-
Handling financial transactions
-
Providing reference services on the front desk, including technological assistance
-

Deliver excellent customer service
-
Create and distribute promotional materials related to library services and programs.

Other duties as may pertain to the position
Qualifications and Requirements:
-
A thorough understanding of marketing elements, including traditional and digital marketing, and industry trends.

Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite; including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Previous library or marketing experience is an asset
Compensation:
Part-time: Minimum 28 hrs / week; days, evenings, and weekend shifts
Wage: $20.69 / hour

English Language Learning Coordinator
Location: Mountain View County (Olds, Didsbury, Sundre, Cremona & Carstairs)

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate English Language Learning Coordinator to join our team. The primary focus of this role will be to develop and nurture an English Language Learning (ELL) community within Mountain View County.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to engage and support adult learners within the ELL community throughout Mountain View County

Plan and coordinate ELL workshops, classes, and events to address the diverse learning needs of participants.

Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to program activities and outcomes.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience working in adult education, community development, or related fields.

Knowledge of local resources and networks in Mountain View County is an asset.
-
Required to travel between communities, valid driver’s license and has own transportation.
Compensation:
Temporary Position Jan 6 Until Jun 30, 2024 with possible extension. Position contingent on Grant Funding

Examples of Jobs our volunteers do:

Shelving - Place our returned materials back on our shelves in there rightful places. Materials will either be arranged alphabetically by authors last name or using the Dewey Decimal system.

Shifting - Keep our shelves looking neat by straightening and aligning our materials.

Shelf Reading - Place miss-shelved materials in their proper places.

Picklist - Pick books off our shelves to be held for patrons or sent to other libraries.

Cleaning, dusting, etc - Keep the library cleanly by wiping materials, clearing our Lego wall, dusting and more.
